英语写作诊断式教学是以医生诊视病人判断其病症的方式进行英语写作教学,即教师采取一定的方法手段及时了解学生英语知识掌握程度,对学生英语学习效果作出诊断,并采取相应措施进行矫正和解救,帮助学生达成英语教学目标的一种教学形式。其基本理念是师生互动参与、问题解决、批判反思和综合分析。在具体实施过程中,需要事先对英语写作教学的目标、内容、形式、方法和评价进行系统设计。英语写作诊断式教学是一个动态过程,包括调查问题、收集资料,分析症状、初步诊断,实施纠偏、验证诊断等基本环节和步骤。

Diagnostic teaching of English writing means the teacher applies diagnosis to the process of English teaching of writing as the doctor to the patient. Its basic idea is interactive participation, problem solving, critical reflection and comprehensive analysis. In the concrete process of implementation, some elements can be designed scientifically and systematically, including the teaching objective, content, form, and method. Diagnostic teaching, as a kind of complicated teaching means, is a dynamic process in the application of English writing instruction, which can be carried out through some basic procedures, such as, surveying questions, collecting data, analyzing the symptoms, diagnosing preliminarily, implementing rectification and verifying the diagnosis.
