日本是东方社会中保存和发展民族文化较好的国家,民族传统体育发展与其国民特质密切相关,即集体主义下"无我意识"是传统体育的推广与保护的群众基础、国民现实性与包容性特征是推广的精神基础、侧重精神育化是其现代化的核心驱动力、"情义观"与"名誉观"使得日本体育机构在保护和推广民族传统体育时不遗余力,以及岛国本土意识为传统体育提供生存土壤。从中可得到制度实施的有效性、传统体育精神的提升与理论化等启示。

Among oriental societies, Japan is a country that preserves and develops national culture better; the developmentof its traditional national sports is closely related to its national characteristics, i.e. the “no ego awareness”under collectivism is the mass foundation for the popularization and protection of traditional sports, the inclusivecharacteristic is the spiritual foundation for popularization, highlighting spiritual cultivation is its core drivingforce for modernization, the “close feeling view” and “honor view” make Japanese sports organizations spare no effectto protect and popularize traditional national sports, and the native island country awareness provides the soilfor the survival of traditional sports. Inspirations gotten therefrom include the effectiveness of system implementation,the promotion and theorization of traditional sports spirit etc.
