Mei Yaochen has created considerable number of poems concerning regional customs,involving the food,residence,garments,travel,production,trade,recreation,singing and dancing,dialects and beliefs in more than 40 regions. This topic either becomes a theme in his poems,or becomes an important component in his poems for farewell,presenting and communication,or bears his concern about the reality and politics,or is used as a medium of philosophical thinking.
