[ Purpose ] To investigate the expressions of PTEN and VEGF and microvessel density (MVD) in non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL)and to analyze the correlation among them. [Methods ] Immunohistochemistry was used to detect PTEN and VEGF expressions and MVD labeled by CD105 in NHL patients, and reactive lymphoid hyperplasia (RLH)group was set as a control. [Results] Expression of PTEN (31.5%) in NHL group was significantly lower than that in RLH group (70.0%)(P〈0.05);while expression of VEGF and MVD in NHL group were both significantly higher than those in RLH group (P〈0.05).There was significant difference of VEGF, PTEN or MVD in NHL patients with different pathological type or with different clincal stage (P〈0.05).PTEN was negatively correlated with both VEGF and MVD. [Conclusion] Low expression of FInN and high expression of VEGF in NHL might promote angiogenesis, progression and metastasis of NHL.
