二十年前，189个政府接受了北京宣言和行动纲领，标志着妇女权利史的一个转折点。这一蓝图一直是宴现妇女和女孩权利平等的强有力的动力源。二十年来，妇女地位取得了很大的提升，但是在确保妇女和儿童获得健康生活、教育和完全的社会包容等方面仍有许多事情要做。目前全球只有42个国家妇女赢得了30％以上的国民立法机关席位，而在撒哈拉以南非洲、大洋洲和西部非洲，女孩仍然没有获得与男孩同等的受教育权。

'Women'...when will this word finally no longer be valuable or needed to be specially brought up?'This is the first line of well-known author Ding Ling wrote in her article 'Thoughts on International Women's Day'.Written in 1942 during China's Yan'an Rectification Movement,this article brought up the realistic issues facing the 'liberated' women of the time period.Seventy-three years later,as China Entrepreneur prepares its list of 'Business Mulans'- a list of the year's most accomplished female entrepreneurs,it's clear the equality that Ding Ling hoped for has not yet arrived and continues to be a target we must work for.When we talk about 'women's rights',what we are really talking about 'human rights'.When it comes to sexism,men,as well as women,carry a heavy burden.When women truly become liberated,men too will also acquire true freedom.
