摘要
《论自然》是美国超验主义代表人物拉尔夫·爱默生的代表作。世人多谓《论自然》是一篇礼赞自然的抒情之文,其实不尽然。爱默生创作《论自然》的目的并非为表达对自然的欣赏之情,而意在为新兴的美国发展提供思想上的支撑可以试从爱默生的形上观、爱默生对传统的继承与创新、爱默生的"自然"阐释这三方面对《论自然》进行一种新的解读。
Nature is a representative work of the American Transcendentalist Ralph Waldo Emerson. The popular opinion regards it as a graceful psalm of nature, while in fact, it is an eloquent rhetoric, with the goal of providing intellectual and cultural support for the development of the newly founded United States. In his Nature, Emerson delves into perpendicular and horizontal dimensions to achieve his intention of creating a philosophy of his own for America. The aim of this paper is to accomplish a tentative interpretation on Nature from Emerson' s metaphysical view, on his inheritance and innovation of tradition, and on his interpretation of "nature" manifested in Nature.
