On the Cultural Inheritance of Traditional Chinese Medicine in the Global Age—An Interview with ZHANG Zongming, CAI Zhong and FANG Xianghong

在当今的全球化时代,中医文化传承的(西方)科学化,正在逐步挤压中医的空间,使得中医日益丧失其身份的核心部分,进而导致中医的身份危机。那么,该如何理解近几十年来中医传承方式的历史变迁以及由此导致的中医学边界的模糊性问题,从而反思全球化时代中医文化身份的特殊性及其传承方式的文化保真性,就成为迫切需要解决的问题。致力于中医文化学、科学技术哲学、西方哲学研究的张宗明、蔡仲、方向红三位教授针对这些问题进行了富有成效的讨论,为我们进一步思考中医文化传承方式和中医的身份问题提供了颇多洞见。

In this age of globalization, the scientific recasting and reinterpreting of traditional Chinese medicine( TCM) has reduced its cultural importance and finally led to its identity crisis. Then what is at stake is how to understand the transformations of the cultural inheritance of TCM and its identification problem in order to reconsider its special cultural status and cultural coherence from the perspective of globalization. The conversation among Zhang Zongming, Cai Zhong and Fang Xianghong, specializing in cultural studies of TCM, philosophy of science and phenomenology respectively, will show us many new inspiring and convincing insights concerning the issues mentioned above.
