摘要
文章对"求之不得"语义演变的考察表明,其在现代汉语的基本义中不包含"得到了"这层意思。"求之不得"先后发展出"行域""知域""言域"三域的用法,其语义演变的机制为转喻引申,属于正常的语义演变,不属于流俗词源。"行域"与"现实域"构成一个无标记的配对,"知域"和"言域"一起,与"非现实域"构成一个无标记的配对。
Our detailed analysis on the semantic change of ＂qiuzhibude＂ （求之不得） demonstrates that the basic meaning of ＂qiuzhibude＂ in modern Mandarin does not imply the semantic feature of ac- quiring. ＂Qiuzhibude＂ has diachronically developed the meanings within the three conceptual domains of acting, knowing and speaking. The semantic change is a normal extension through the mechanism of metonymy and should not be counted as folk etymology.
