“五四”女作家群自省意识探析

On the Reflective Awareness of the Female Writers during the May 4^(th) Period

"五四"女作家的创作,真实而又深刻地表达了现代女性复杂的思想状态和生命体验。她们既关注了广大妇女不幸的悲剧命运,也呈现出仍然存在于广大妇女身上的性格弱点,其中主要表现为怯弱性、保守性、自私性等几个方面。她们以清醒的女性自省意识,探讨造成广大妇女不幸命运的各种原因,积极地为广大中国妇女探寻一条争取自由解放的捷径。

The female writers＇ literary works during the May 4thperiod have genuinely and profoundly expressed the state of mind and life experience of modern women. While being concerned about other women＇s tragic fate in their writings, the female writers also have the weaknesses presented on other women themselves, i.e., timidity,conservation and selfishness. Therefore, they inquired the various reasons for women＇s unfortunate fate by their conscious female reflective awareness, trying actively to explore a shortcut for women to fight for their independence and freedom.
