In order to realize electronic data exchange of transport-related information between railway transport enterprise and non-railway enterprise, better reflect coordination between railway and enterprise, increase both parties' efficiency and benefits and reduce total cost of social logistics, starting from actual status of railway transportation and demand of freight transport customers, this paper expounds the balance point of each party's data share and exchange, analyzes the functional demand on EDI platform, studies the function setting up and integration of EDI platform of railway freight transportation, and puts forward the realization and utilization of the platform function from 2 aspects including standardization of electronic data exchange and major utilization system of the platform.
