“地理中国”与“文化中华”——《中国的历史》简评

“Geographic China” and “Cultural China”:A Review of A History of China

《中国的历史》系列丛书共有10卷在2014年被翻译成中文,其作者为来自不同领域的日本知名学者。该套丛书提供了解读中国历史传统意义上的古代"地理中国"与"文化中华"的新角度,以动态视角解读一统时期"天下"的内涵和外延。与趋同性相比,日本学者更多地关注在"一统"下的不同质性。处于中华文化影响下的日本和朝鲜,虽然吸收了中国传统文化,但却呈现出仅停留于表面的政治制度相同性,与作为源头的古代中国还是有着本质上的区别,"和而不同"是文化中华的重要特征。

Ten volumes of A History of China are translated into Chinese in 2014. Their authors arefamous scholars from different areas of Japan. ＂Geographic China＂ and ＂Cultural China＂ , which have an- cient Chinese traditional sense,are interpreted from different perspectives. With the help of dynamic per- spective,the connotation and denotation of the ＂world＂ are expounded. Compared with the same aspects, Japanese scholars pay more attention to differences. Japan and Korea are under the influence of Chinese cultural circles. Although they absorb traditional Chinese culture,their political system which is inherited from China only stays on the surface. This is not the same as the source of ancient China. The thinking of ＂harmony in diversity＂ is an important feature of Chinese culture.
