As is known to us, literary translation ranks the most difficult among all translation practices. Although a variety of strategies and methods have been employed in an attempt to reproduce the elegance of the original novel, "anti- translatability " inevitably exists, due to such factors as the changing times, cultural practices, language barriers and literary tradition. In the same vein, "anti-readibility" also exists in the source texts. To delineate this issue, the present study tries to explore the representations, reasons of formation and translation methods of the anti-translatability caused by changing times and space in the Chinese translation of Korean novels with Park Wan-Seo's novels as a case.
