The Formation and Realization of Language Images

语言不仅可以表达抽象的意义 ,而且可以描绘具体的形象。语言形象的生成与实现本质上是一个语义化形象信息的交流、传播和转换过程 ,是在一般语言功能框架下实现的具有特殊意义的言语表达活动。这一言语表达过程一方面由特定的心理和语言机制所规定 ,一方面又受到心理、语言、文化和交流对象等各种因素的影响和制约 ,是多种因素共同作用的结果 。

Language can both express abstract meanings and describe concrete images. The formation and realization of language images is actually a process of the exchanging, spreading and transferring of the semanticized imagery information, and is a verbal expressing activity with special meaning realized in the general functional structure of language. This process is influenced and limited by such factors as people's mind, language, culture, etc., and thus it's a product formed by the common functioning of many factors. Specific verbal strategies and methods are the important approaches to realizing such a process.
