Alice Monroe＇s novel collection Run Away is about life and fate of women. Among them, the depiction of Juliet＇s encounter is typical of women＇s feelings and experiences. Just because of the chance meeting with a man who had love and marriage experiences on the train, Juliet gave up her academic career, and cohabitated with him. What supported her choice and action is ＂love＂. She sacrificed her career and future, but did not gain satisfactory love. In her later years, Juliet was abandoned by her daughter, which aggraveted her emotional pain. Therefore, the emotional fragility, complexity of human nature and the limitations of life energy made it difficult for Juliet to go out the emotional predicament.
