＂A Basic Course in Science of Chinese Characters＂ edited by Lian Denggang introduces the basic theory and the basic knowledge of the subject systematically and has both characteristics of inheritance and innovation. However, there are still a number of obvious flaws. This paper analyses and corrects the flaws and defects in the book which has certain reference value and application value for the revise and readers＂ study of the book.
