This paper, set against the backdrop of the American society under the technological revolution and the hardships in her life, will analyze the characters in The Ballad of the Sad Card from the perspective of psychology and try to explore Carson McCullers＇ consideration of the origin of loneliness and the ways to get rid of loneliness.
