Physicians should pay due attention to neglected tropical diseases

本文介绍"被忽视的热带病"的概念、概况和疾病谱,概述世界各国通力合作,为控制及根治该组疾病所做的努力。着重介绍6种极易被临床忽视的感染性疾病,并结合实际病例进行简要分析,提出如何加强临床与实验室联系,以提高诊疗率。

The conception and scope of ＂neglected tropical diseases＂（NTDs） are introduced and the worldwide efforts to control or eradicate these NTDs are included in this article. In combining with the brief case analysis, the authors focus on six NTDs which are easily neglected in clinical practice in China, and highly suggest enhancing clinical-laboratory communication to improve the diagnosis and treatment of NTDs.
