Psychology has been very widely used in western landscape design, while in China the works that make full use of landscape design psychology which is people-oriented are few. This paper introduces the concepts of design psychology and analyzes how design psychology is used in landscape design taking the design of North Square of Big Wild Goose Pagoda in Xi＇an as an example. The paper finally interprets the interaction of human psychology, behavior and landscape environment, which provides a reference to humane principles of landscape design.
