民国时期民众图书馆的特征解读

An Analysis of Characteristics of Civilians Libraries in the Period of the Republic of China

民国时期民众图书馆事业蓬勃兴盛,这其中固然有国民政府的积极倡行,更重要的原因应该归结于民众图书馆本身的特性。民众图书馆与生俱来的平等性、活动性、通俗性、自由性,使它成为流动不止的知识喷泉,成了实施民众教育最合适的机关。今天,民众图书馆虽然早已成为历史名词,但它所包含的平等主动的服务精神,对于我们当今的公共图书馆建设依然具有重要的启迪意义。

The civilians library cause flourished during the period of the Republic of China, which was partly caused by the government＇s actively push; but the more important reason of which should be attributed to the characteristics of the library itself. The civilians library had inherent freedom, equality, activity, popularity, which made it flow more than the fountain of knowledge, and became the most appropriate authority for public education. Today, the civilians library has already become a historical term, but it contains equal and active service spirit, which has an enlightenment significance to our today＇ s construction of public library. 1 tab. 20 refs.
