The working principle and instrument features of TOV viscometer were introduced. The unusual circum- stances occured during the production process were analysed. The reasons included the actual viscosity fluctuation, viscometer components existing problems,viscometer signal cable and secondary meter have disturbance. After treat- ment ,the application effect and stability is good.
