Deng Xiaoping's Heritage,Rectifying and Development To the Mass Line of CPC and the Present Significance

群众路线是中国共产党的根本工作路线。新中国成立后,群众运动一度成为贯彻群众路线的主要形式。这些群众运动,有的产生了较为积极的作用,但也带来了负面影响;有的产生了消极后果;有的运动,特别是"文化大革命"运动,则带来了惨痛的灾难。1977年再次复出的邓小平,深刻总结"文化大革命"的教训,提出不再搞群众运动,并在新形势下丰富和发展了毛泽东的群众路线。在全面深化改革的新时期,我们应继续坚持和发展党的群众路线。

The mass line is the fundamental work line for Chinese Communist Party. After the foundlng ol new China, the mass movements once became the main form of carrying out the mass line. Some of these movements not only produced positive effects, but also brought negative impacts. Some had negative consequences; especially the Cultural Revolution campaign had brought heavy disasters. Coming to power again in 1977, Deng Xiaoping deeply summarized the lessons of the Cultural Revolution and put forward to no longer make the mass movement. He enriched and developed Mao Zedong＇s mass line under the new situations. Therefore we should continue to uphold and develop the party＇s mass line in the new period of comprehensive deepening reform.
