东岳大帝即黄飞虎考

各地东岳庙内供奉的东岳大帝普遍被认为是西周反纣名将黄飞虎,这种观念深入民心,尤其是在下层民众中,已成为一种社会共识。民国乃至当代各地在重新修缮东岳庙的过程中,东岳大帝是黄飞虎的观点化解为各种细小的文化因子,融入庙宇的建筑细节中,东岳庙中的壁画、板画、石雕、木刻、泥塑,无不与《封神演义》中的人物或者故事情节有关。今从东岳大帝的神职和多种身世入手,对该说法进行溯源,认为这种说法在清朝乃至民国时期才逐渐被传承进而接受,是通俗文学《封神演义》被广泛传播接受的结果。

Dongyue Emperor, enshrined and worshipped everywhere in the country is universally regarded as the famous general Huang Fei - hu in the West Zhou Dynasty. This belief deeply rooted into people, especially those in the low social status and became a consensus. During the period of Republic and at present, the repair of Dongyue Temple made this belief disseminate into smaller cultural factors, into the temple＇s architectural details, such as in murals, woodblocks, stone carvings, woodcuts and clay sculptures, all of which are relevant with characters and stories in The Canonization of the Gods. This paper is from Dongyue Emperor~ holy position and his origins to verify that the belief of Dongyue Emperor being Huang Fei - hu was accepted in the period of Qing and even Republic, which is the result of the population of The Canonization of the Gods.
