This paper analyzes the international background and domestic environment in which socialism with Chinese characteristics is formed. It also probes into the causes why socialism with Chinese characteristics is similar to capitalism in many ways,the objective environment in which doubts and disputes arise,and the three preconditions and three key points for establishing the economic model of socialism with Chinese characteristics.
