青少年期逆反心理是个体成熟的必经阶段,这一阶段会出现不少心理问题。玛格丽特·玛勒(Margaret Marhler)在发展儿童心理学中,联系传统精神分析模式并结合自我心理学和客体关系理论创立了富有特色的分离—个体化理论,并试图从这个理论出发来解释青少年时期逆反心理。
