明代戏曲创作题材非常广泛,晥籍戏曲家的创作涉及宗教题材、婚恋爱情、历史故事和文人题材。虽然范围广阔,涵盖了社会生活的诸多方面,但缺少时事题材剧,内容多因袭少独创,文化理念上先后受程朱理学和明朝中后期人性解放的进步思潮的影响,形成了晥籍曲家创作的具体特色,决定了安徽戏曲虽然不是一流但也不容忽视的特殊地位。

The opera subjects were very broad in the Ming Dynasty,such as religious subjects,marriage love,historical stories and literary theme. They were various,covering many aspects of social life,but they didn't include current affairs. The contents were almost traditional,but they were influenced by neo- Confucianism and human liberation in mid and late Ming dynasty.
