Objective To explore the role of angiotensin(AngⅡ) and transforming growth factor-β1 (TGF-β1) on cisplatin induced renal injury and their correlation. Methods 16 rats were randomly divided into the two groups, normal group and model group. The caudal vein injection was adopted to duplicate the cisplatin induced renal injury model in rat.The level of Ang Ⅱ in the renal tissue after 6 weeks was detected by radioimmunoassay and the expression of TGF-β1 in the renal tissue was observed by the immunohistochem-istry method. Results Compared with the blank group, the level of Ang Ⅱ in the model group was significantly increased and the ex-pression of TGF-β1 in the tubular epithelia was obviously enhanced(P〈0.01),moreover certain correlation existed between them(Y=0.138X+0.062 8,r=0.98).Conclusion The AngⅡ level and TGF-β1 expression may play a certain role in the occurrence and development of cisplatin induced renal injury and show the positive correlation.
