Twelfth Night,a modern drama performed by China Youth Art Theatre,can be called a successful drama. The drama uses modern stage performance,employing boldlly parody and collage and interlarding rationally with the contermporary social and secular life. The play represents Shakespeare＇s humanistic spirit in a relaxed,humorous,funny,playful and joking atmosphere. It also shows us how to deal with and explain the classics. The successful performance shows that China has fully developed in the adaptation of Shakespeare＇s plays and with the help of the Twelfth Night,China can create a distinct style,getting the young audiences＇ universal acceptance of Shakespeare＇s plays.
