Research on Negative Transfer Laws of Chinese Tones to the Acquisition of English Pronunciation

汉语声调对中国英语学习者习得英语重音存在迁移现象,尤其是汉语去声对英语重音习得的负迁移。英汉语属于不同体系的语言,学习者在朗读英语重读音节时,习惯使用汉语声调实现英语重音,造成明显的中式腔调。因此,了解声调对英语重音习得的影响无疑对提高英语口语是非常有帮助的。

Chinese tones, especially a high falling, produce a negative transfer in Chinese learners＇ acquisition of English stress. The fact that English and Chinese fall into different language family contributes to a transfer by using Chinese tones replacing English stress and as a consequence produces an English alternative with Chinese style. An understanding of Chinese tones turns out of great help in improving Chinese learners＇ spoken English.
