Retrospect and Prospect: Sixty Years of Researches on New Words and Expressions

新词语搜集、整理等工作,自新中国诞生之日起迄今已持续进行了六十余年,成果之丰硕自不待言。新词语不论从词条本身反映对象的广泛性上看,还是从对其进行搜集整理的时间性上以及研制手段的先进性上看,六十年间都走过了一条不平凡的路。检讨得失,总结经验,对于把握未来新词语研究的走向,有着十分重要的意义。

Ever since the founding of the PRC in 1949,researches on new words and expressions have been launched,reaping significant results during the recent two decades. These researches are important in that new words and expressions often reflect a wide range of social phenomena. Besides,during this period,the techniques of new word and expression collection and of dictionary compilation have become increasingly advanced. Therefore,summarizing the experience and drawing lessons from it will enable dictionary compilers and researchers to get hold of the trend of future research in this respect.
