Zadie Smith,a British female immigrant writer,has been paying attention to the survival of female immigrants in her works.White Teethis a typical example to show Smith＇s attention on the Third World women immigrants.The nationality,skin color,birthplace and religious beliefs of female immigrants increase the difficulty in constructing their ethnic and national identity in the white mainstream society.The paper tries to study White Teethfrom a postcolonial feminist criticism,explore the theme of rebuilding the cultural identity of the Third World women immigrants in the western mainstream society,and expose Smith＇s promotion to establish a harmonious multicultural society.
