Not All the Contradictions in Society can be Classified as“Social Contradictions”:Analysis on the Concept of Social Contradiction

清晰界定社会矛盾概念十分重要。并非社会上所有的矛盾现象都是"社会矛盾"。人们对社会矛盾的理解有宏观层面、中观层面以及微观层面之分。只有中观层面的社会矛盾概念,才具有恰当有效的解释力。只有中观层面的社会矛盾,才是社会矛盾理论所要研究的基本内容。在社会上形形色色的各种矛盾现象中,只有同时符合了三个条件——源自社会阶层结构层面上的问题、存在着在利益或其他重要方面进行互动或交往的相关方、相关方之间的互动行为表现出一致和不一致的双重性的矛盾,才是中观层面上的社会矛盾。另外,社会矛盾概念与社会冲突、社会运动明显不同。

It is extremely important to clarify the definition of social contradiction. Not all the contradictions in society are ＂social contradictions＂. People＇s comprehension of social contradictions can be categorized into three levels： macroscopic, middle, and microcosmic. Among them, only the social contradictions at the middle-level possess proper and efficient explanatory power. Also, only the middle-level social contradiction is the basic object of social contradictions research. Among the various forms in society, only matching the three conditions at the same time can the middle-level social contradiction be defined so： problems originating from social class structure, related parties interacting with each otherabout interests or some other important , and interaction among them showing dual nature of accordance and discordance. In addition, social contradiction is clearly different from social conflict or social movement.
