关于甲骨文“叀”字构形的再认识

The Form of ‘ 叀 ' Reconsidered

关于"叀"字构形,现学界多认为象纺砖之形,本文则认为其字形应似用竹、藤等草类植物编织而成的一种盛物之器;并对学界一直存有争议的叀与■之关系作了说明,认为后一字形表示的乃是用叀状容器来盛放的物品,由清华简中从此字形之字读为助考虑,此字形可释为菹;文章最后从汉字文化角度讨论了叀字等字形所反映出的古代编织技术。

It is generally viewed that the oracle bone character ‘ 叀 '(pronounces ‘hui') takes the form of a spindle, but this paper looks at it as a container made from bamboo, vines or other kind of grass plants, and recognizes ‘■' as an article which is placed inside the 叀-shaped container. ‘■ ' may pronounce zhù( 助) but mean ‘ 菹 '(zū) by reference of the characters with the close form of it in Qinghua bamboo slips. Also it discusses the ancient weaving techniques via the structure and form of ancient Chinese characters like 叀 from a perspective of Chinese character culture.
