Pushkin was enthusiastic about the lamentation poetry, and composed a large amount of lamentation poetries in his life. During the composition, he broke the limitation of the traditional feeling and style of this ancient kind of lyric poetry, and greatly enriched the content and means of expression of this genre. Among which, “Lamentation poetry” is the most famous one, and this paper provides an analysis on its unique characteristics and artistic charm, which is organized according to three aspects including rhyme, words, rhetoric. In this poetry, the properties of psychological poem and philosophical poem melt together, which is although short, but full of intricate and complex emotion characteristics. “Lamentation poetry” is not lamenting, showing that the “sunlight poet”Pushkin had never given up seeking for the sublime and harmony.
