Food Crisis and the Future of Agriculture

随着全球饥饿人口的不断增加以及全球总人口的增长,人们对于粮食危机的担忧正逐步变为现实。但从各种数据来看,全球粮食的人均产量完全可以满足人类需求,不至于使人类陷入如此严重的粮食危机。对此唯一正确的解释只有分配的不均。全球的贫富分化以及各地区局部的贫富分化导致了分配的不均,这正是粮食危机的真正原因。转基因技术被一些人认为是解决粮食危机的良方,但该技术在学术界尚有巨大争议,其安全性难以保证。粮食危机的背后伴随着各种政治性的博弈,其代表即欧美等国广泛推行的农业补贴政策。许多学者呼吁中国政府效仿这一政策,认为农业补贴可以刺激粮食增产,推动农业发展,促进农民增收。然而,大量的农业补贴带来的高失业率却被众人所忽略。

With increasing global hunger and global population growth,people＇s worry about the food crisis is gradually becoming a reality.However,according to a variety of data,the global per capita food production is fully sufficient to meet human needs,and will not make mankind into such a serious food crisis.The only correct interpretation of this is unequal food distribution.Global and regional polarization between the rich and the poor？has led to partial unequal distribution,which is the real cause of food crisis.Some people think transgenic technology as a good way to solve the food crisis,but the technology is still a huge controversy in academic circles,its safety is also not guaranteed.Behind the food crisis accompanied by a variety of political game,whose representative is widespread implementation of agricultural subsidy policy in Europe and America.Many scholars have called on Chinese government to follow the policy,because they think that agricultural subsidies can stimulate food production,promote agricultural development and increase farmers＇ income.But they ignore high unemployment rate which will be brought by a large number of agricultural subsidies.
