朴正男:异国公益梦

Park Jong-nam:A Dream for Public Interest in a Foreign Country

与韩国隔海相望的山东省烟台市,目前常驻韩国人已超过2万人。他们大都居住于烟台的黄海城市花园、海天名人广场、石沟屯等靠近海滨的社区,因而这些地方有了＂韩国村＂的称谓。这个大的村落里,一位叫朴正男的＂老队长＂,头发花白但精神矍铄,每日总是忙忙碌碌,投身于异国公益梦之中。作为2013~2014双年度＂十佳烟台好人＂中唯一一位外国人,52岁的韩国人朴正男早早来到电视台演播大厅的现场,等待着神圣而庄重的颁奖仪式。洁白的衬衫、笔挺的西装,让这位烟台好人更加风度翩翩,精气神十足。

Bom in 1963.Park Jong-nam came to Yantai for business in 1996.His mandarin is not standard but very fluent.As he said,he had been involved in volunteering activities in Korea.After he came to Yantai.he organized the team of volunteering services called 'Love in Yantai from Chinese Koreans Friends' and realized his dream for transnational public interest.The Chinese Korean Friends Volunteering Team has grown from originally 200 plus people to over 600 people with increasingly diversified volunteering activities.Now they organize volunteering services almost every week and Park Jong-nam pays for nearly all the costs.As he said,he attained happiness in helping others become happy.Each time they organized activities for public interest,there were 200 to 300 people enlisting and at least 100 people participated.Park Jong-nam organized one-on-one ChineseKorean family supporting activities and has formed alliance with over 60 families in Zhifu District,among which he himself has supported 5underprivileged families.
