After a research of the recently discovered photo of Li Dazhao and Gu Mengyu, published on The Young Companion(Vol. 5, 1926), and related news reports, the current author finds out that this photo was taken at 9 a.m. on 12 March 1926 when both were attending a public ceremony at the Forbidden City. This ceremony was held by leftists of the Kuomintang in memory of the first anniversary of the death of Sun Yat-sen. Interestingly, the same image of Li, which shows clear traces of cropping, appears in an article entitled "Five Men Wanted by Duan Qirui" in the World Pictorial. This photo is evidence of cooperation between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party of China, continuation of Sun Yat-sen's aspirations and the coming of the climax of Nationalist Revolution.
