马克思主义理论提出社会发展的根本原因是生产力的提高,它以人们的社会实践活动为基本过程。这一过程是在社会和人们的价值追求、需求的满足中展开的。马克思主义关于人的本质的基本原理,说明了人的价值追求、需求的满足,必须将自我价值与社会价值统一,个人利益与社会目标结合,才符合社会进步的要求。现时代我国社会主义革命和建设发生了巨大的进步,社会意识不仅直接或间接的反映着物质文明的成果,而且是指导社会精神文明的思想体系。社会主义核心价值观是当代中国价值体系的主导的核心的思想,她体现了马克思主义理论关于社会意识指导社会存在的基本原理,体现了社会发展的一定历史时期要以科学的指导思想倡导时代的主导价值观来指导人们的社会行动。社会主义核心价值观是马克思主义基本理论在中国革命实践活动中的应用与发展。

Marxist theory puts forward that the basic reason for social development is the improvement of productivity,in which the basic process is the social practice of people.This process goes on in the pursuit of values and satisfaction of needs of people and society.The basic theory in Marxism about human nature shows that the value pursuit and satisfaction of needs must be linked with the unity of self-value and social value as well as the unity of personal interest and social goal,which accords with the demand of social progress.Now our nation is witnessing great progress in social revolution and construction.Therefore,social ideology is not only the direct or indirect reflection of material civilization,but also the ideological system guiding the social spiritual civilization.Socialist core value is the dominant and core ideology in Chinese value system,which embodies the basic theory in Marxism that social ideology is guiding the social existence.It also indicates that in a certain social period,we should use scientific theory to promote the dominant value system,thus to direct the social activities.Socialist core value system is the application and development of Marxist basic theory in Chinese social revolutionary activities.
