摘要
导游口译是一种典型的跨文化交际活动。由于中英语言与文化差异而产生了许多不容忽视的问题,严重阻碍了旅游业的发展,因此,导游在翻译富含中国特色的事物时,要在了解游客背景知识的基础之上做到循序渐进、详略得当。无论是哪种翻译策略,关键是在于能否实现交际目的。而在这一过程中,应该向听众提供足够的语境效果,并且考虑译语能否在听众头脑里产生正确的语境效应,从而使他们不需花费太多的努力就能准确理解旅游文化信息,从而达到很好的现场效果。
Interpretation of tour guides is a typical cross-cultural communication activity. Many problems,which arise from the differences in Chinese and English Languages and cultures,seriously hinder the development of China's tourism. Therefore,in interpreting things which are rich in Chinese characteristics,tour guides should be progressive and reasonably detailed on the basis of a acquaintance with the foreign tourists' background knowledge. Whatever interpretation strategies they take,the key is whether they could achieve the goal of communication; and in this process,they should provide adequate contexts for the audiences,and take into consideration whether their interpretations could produce correct context effect,so that the audience would not need to take too much effort in understanding the exact tourism and culture information,and a desirable on-spot effect could be achieved.
