In the epitaphs of the Song Dynasty , the image of scholars are very similar who manifested as a kind of basic ideal image model.They were deliberately written as a dutiful sons, philanthropist , the images advocated by Confucian paradigm .The literati image in the epitaphs of the Song Dynasty reflected the Confucian their own images and the Confucian culture.They also re-flects the ideal image under the background the revival of Confucianism in the Song dynasty.
