Contemporary Jewish American writers have gained great achievements, manifesting their Jewishness in their deep trauma, powerful traditional Judaism, strong sense of identity and family values. Donald Margulies, a contemporary prolific playwright, has written more than 20 plays since 1980 s and received his Pulitzer prize in 2000. Margulies＇ four masterpieces, The Model Apartment, Loman Family Picnic, Sight Unseen and Dinner with Friends represent the traumatic narration of the Jewish people, memory of the identity loss and changes of family values and moral standards.
