摘要
设计了一款应用于GPON网络激光驱动器芯片的突发模式自动功率控制电路(BMAPC)。该BM-APC采用数字控制器,实现了突发无效期间功率控制环的状态保持;利用快速启动算法,提高了ONU初始化时激光器稳定输出功率的速度和精度;利用可配置带宽的慢速调整模式,解决了传输长串"0"或长串"1"时功率过度补偿的问题。提出的BM-APC在125 Mb/s^2.5Gb/s的突发模式激光驱动器芯片中实现,其仿真结果符合ITU-T GPON标准的规定。
A burst-mode automatic power control(BM-APC)was designed for the laser driver of GPON.The BM-APC could hold the state of power by a digital controller during burst disable.Both the rate and the precision of power control loop were increased by a fast start-up algorithm while initializing the ONU.The problem of over compensation of APC caused by long consecutive"0"or"1"was settled by a slow adjust mode with a configurable bandwidth.The proposed BM-APC was implemented in a 125 Mb/s^2.5Gb/s burst mode laser driver chip,and the simulation results met the ITU-T GPON standards.
