单模激光在多模光纤中的传输实验研究 被引量:6

摘要 采用CCD光束分析仪研究经大芯径多模光纤传输后的出射光束,从输出光斑能量分布及出射光束质量两方面进行讨论,得到多模光纤的光传输特性。实验中以单模激光作为测试光源,进行了不同芯径及长度的多模光纤的传输实验。结果表明:多模光纤对入射光束具有整形作用,主要表现为光束质量下降,能量分布趋向均匀化。且光束质量恶化程度及光束匀化效果与传输用的多模光纤参数相关:光纤芯径越大,传输后的光束质量下降得越多,匀化效果越明显。多模光纤的传输长度同匀化效果亦呈正相关关系。多模光纤的匀化作用可为单模光源提供一种简单、有效的整形方案。通过选择不同参数的多模光纤可获得不同特性的准均匀光束,以适应特殊的激光加工需求。 The transmitted beam through the large-core multimode fiber is investigated by using CCD beam profiler. The energy distribution and beam quality are discussed, thus the transmission characteristics of the multimode fiber are obtained. The single mode laser is chosen as a testing light source, and the study is conducted by applying multimode fiber with different core diameters and lengths. The results show that the multimode fibers have shaping effect on the input beam including beam quality degradation and homogenization of the energy distribution. Besides, the deterioration of the beam quality and the homogenization effect have dependence on the parameters of the multimode fiber. The larger diameter of the multimode fiber leads to more serious deterioration of the beam quality as well as better homogenization effect. A positive correlation between the transmitting length and the homogenization effect is also found. This study can provide a simple and effective scheme for the shaping of the single mode laser. By selecting multimode fibers with various parameters, the quasi uniform beams with different characteristics can be got to meet special laser processing demand.
