傅斯年是民国时期著名学界领袖,在任中央研究院史语所所长期间,领导一批杰出学者在史学、考古学、语言学领域做出了卓越成就。而史语所图书馆也在他倾力领导下,成为民国尤其抗战时期大后方一座重要的学术图书馆。

As a well- known academic leader,Fu Sinian led a group of outstanding scholars at the Institute of History and Philology,Central Research Institute,to make brilliant contributions in history,archeology and linguistics fields. In the meanwhile,under his leadership,the Library of the Institute of History and Philology also made big contributions especially during the period of Anti- Japanese War as a major library for the whole community.
