在党的十八大后,党中央对培育和践行社会主义核心价值观给予了高度重视。作为一个农业大国,社会主义核心价值观在农村践行得如何,直接影响着社会主义核心价值观的践行与培育。同时,当代农村出现了一批具备高尚道德、突出能力及强烈社会责任感的"新乡贤"群体,该群体形成的"乡贤文化",在农村社会主义核心价值观践行及培育过程中,能发挥重大促进作用,是践行和培育社会主义核心价值观的重要载体。

After the CPC’s 18th Plenary Session, the Central Committee attaches great importance to cultivate and practice the socialist core values. And China is a big agricultural country, so it has directly affected the whole soci-ety that how to advance the core values in rural area. At the same time, there emerge large number country worthies with noble moral, outstanding ability and strong sense of social responsibility. The group formed country worthies’ culture in the rural areas, which is an important carrier of the core values, and plays a major role in its practice and cultivation.
