Through a comparative study of some Dicken＇s and Turner＇s biography, their relationship with seaside resorts and difference represented in verbal language and pictorial language, this paper states that both writer and painter are fascinated with the mysterious elements of the open sea and manage to immerse readers and audience in their extraordinary representation.
