The translation of foreign literary works has a high demand for translators. The translators must be proficient in source language and target language, know well about language characteristics and writing style of the works and also have the ability to control the language of the target language to ensure smooth and natural version for readers. The paper contrasts and discusses some specific examples in two versions of Big Two- Hearted River by Hemingway and explores some issues worthy of attention and some translation methods in the translation of foreign literary works.
