As a way of less investment,quick and effective way of increasing the reserves and production,old well reviewing has been paid attention increasingly by oilfield exploration and development department and has become an effective way for increasing the oil reserves and production of each oilfield.On the basis of elaborating that the reviewed wells and horizons were determined primarily during the preliminary work of old well reviewing,the key factors that can not be ignored in old well reviewing were discussed from the aspects of reviewing cutting oil-bearing properties,gas logging and the reliability of other oil and gas shows,the wellbore and reservoir contamination,oil testing technology and conclusions as well as single tesing and co-testing layers.For the confirmation the possible oil and gas reservoirs during reviewing,the authors put forward the the basic principles that should be followed in selecting the parameters and methods of interpretation and evaluation.Zhongyuan Oilfield is laying more stress on the analysis of key factors in old well reviewing and reservoir re-evaluating method study,and has gained the better economic benefit in the aspect of tapping oilfield potential.
