As the setting in the novel J ourney to the West ,Lianyungang is rich in natural resources as well as historical and cultural resources.Only by targeting for its development and utilization,can we create“Journey to the West culture”brand and Lianyungang’s famous local culture brand.Based on analyzing Li-anyungang’s possible J ourney to the West culture resources,this paper elaborates on the support from all sectors of the community for exploiting J ourney to the West culture resources in Lianyungang,and then explores its value reflected in the economic and social development of Lianyungang city.
