Free Indirect Speech in Ulitskaya's Fiction from the Perspective of Narratology

非纯直接引语是叙事文学作品中重要的话语方式之一,它介于直接引语和间接引语之间,是二者的混合体。它以叙述语形式出现,同时融入作者(叙述者)和人物的双重声音。当代俄罗斯著名女作家乌利茨卡娅在创作中大量使用该引语,使作品具有细腻精致、委婉含蓄等风格特点,通过对该引语的研究还可以更好地把握作者的情感态度。

Free indirect speech is one of the major types of discourse in narrative literature. It＇s a mixture between direct speech and indirect speech, which represents as an objective narrative discourse but contains voices of author （or narrator） and character. As a famous female writer in Russia, Ulitskaya uses free indirect speech in her works. Different types of the speech endows works with delicate and ambiguous features, we can also better understand the emotional tone of her works by studying free indirect speech.
