“翻转课堂”在民办高校大学英语教学中的应用

The Application of “Flipped Classroom”in Private Higher Learning Institutions Teaching

"翻转课堂"这一全新的教学理念于2011年在美国教育界兴起后引起了全世界教育界的广泛关注,一些国家和地区先后开展了关于课堂教学模式的改革。然而这一教学模式在我国大学英语课堂尤其是民办高校英语课堂上的应用并不多见。首先介绍了"翻转课堂"的定义及特点,针对民办高校大学英语教学的现状,进一步论证了在民办高校大学英语教学中实施"翻转课堂"的可行性,并就其具体实施给出了一些可行性建议。

＂Flipped Classroom＂,a completely new teaching concept,has aroused world-wide concern in the educational field after it first appeared in America. Many countries and areas successively carried out reforms on teaching modes. However,this mode is not widely applied in our college English classroom teaching,especially in private higher learning institutions. This paper first introduced the definition and characters of＂Flipped Classroom＂. Then based on the present situation of college English teaching in private higher learning institutions,it further illustrated the feasibility of the application of ＂Flipped Classroom＂in private higher learning institutions. At last,as for the specific implementation,some practical advice was presented. It is hoped that the advice can promote college English teaching in private higher learning institutions and eventually improve the teaching quality.
